Membership

Three tiers, one room.

Every member gets the same access to the house, the calendar, and the people in it. Tiers differ in what you can do with that access — how many guests you bring, whether you host private dinners, whether you vote on what the house does next.

How to join

The application, in four steps.

01

Two members propose you

Either by emailing the committee or by bringing you in for a drink. We'll meet you ourselves before deciding.

02

Share something you've made

A book, a company, a building, a record, a portfolio. We're interested in the work, not the title.

03

Come in for a conversation

An hour with two members of the committee, usually in the library. No pitch, no test.

04

Hear back within six weeks

If invited, you'll have a fortnight to accept. Dues are paid annually, by direct debit or transfer.

Next intake closes 30 June.

Decisions go out the second week of July.
